Want to guess why these people are counting all those lovely money?
These are actually bank staff who are counting the monetary offerings at Imamiya Shrine in Osaka. The stack of money are from donations over the three-day Coming-of-Age Day weekend.
Want to make a guess how much money there was?
Nearly 46 million Japanese yen (500,000 USD).

That’s really interesting considering the last article I read about shrines back in July was commenting on how many shrines are going out of business now because less people are seeking out their services.
