McDonalds Hired 1000 People To Stand In Queue

McDonalds Japan is busted for hiring 1,000 to join the queue outside the Midosuji-Suomachi branch of McDonald’s for the release of their Quarter Pounder burger in the Kansai area on Tuesday.

While the admit to the hiring of those 1,000 people, McDonalds Japan still claimed that they were hired through one of their marketing companies, which they had told to gather consumer feedback.

Their spokesperson said:

We didn’t ask the company to make the people line up. We didn’t intentionally do it.

Around 15,000 people in total visited the store during the day, setting a new record for daily sales for one of their stores.

This explains why people started queing up since midnight outside that McDonalds outlet. Well its still an awesome viral marketing campaign.
