My figure collection had grown to a sizeable collection and I realised my cabinet no longer had any space, so I decided to buy new wall shelves. Headed down to Ikea yesteday and spend the entire afternoon today drilling the holes and fixing the shelves up. Here is the end results:
Here is another 2 shelves located on the other side of my room. My intention is to display my S.I.C Kamen Rider Den-O collection on the bottom shelves. Saber is just being displayed for temporarily.
So do you folks do ay DIY at home. I’m not a very technical person so it took me a great effort just to drills those freaking holes in the wall. My hand still hurts. >_<

I will need a room of my own in the first place. But I think I’d rather the glass display case… Keeps dust out :-/
You just reminded me of my Shiki which I still haven’t claim from KKnM. Sharon’s gonna kill me LOL
Your collection looks awesome on glass shelves!! shame glass shelves wouldn’t look right in my room, i hate my wooden ones now lol
It sounds like you used a really old hand drill, you should invest in a Black & Decker 6v or 18v Cordless Drill. Saves you hassel, saves you time lol (I feel my product placement was subtle)
I thought SG apartments do not allow shelves? I also prefer display cabinet though, less hassle.
whoa! u have pinky’s and patlabors too? lol awesome collection!
Wanted to buy those (for my collection back at my hometown) but my mum told me to wait coz she wants to refurnish my room. She kinda threw some old furniture into my room and now it looks like half indecent, just like a storeroom -_-
Nice display.
Argh… still hunting for that Max Factory Kureha!
That’s pretty nice.
Well done with that bit of DIY! I wonder if niisama’s new shelves look like that..hrm…

Your pictures are gorgeous, what a great way to show off your collection. I love glass shelves because they’re so understated and useful in this way.
