69 Million Yen Dissapeared From Unattended Locked Cash Van

Two bank security guards left their cash van unattended while they went to collect cash from a nearby automated teller machine. When they returned, they found that 69 million yen had disappeared but the van had remained locked.

The guards, aged 51 and 52, parked the van at a parking lot near JR Asagaya Station at around 10:08 a.m., to collect cash from a nearby automated teller machine and returned around 10:54 a.m. to find the cash in four bags missing.

The guards told investigators that they had locked the van before leaving and it was still locked when they returned. The police also added that there were no signs that the locks had been broken.

While the van does not follow a fixed route when collecting cash from and refilling ATMs, it was frequently seen in the area near the crime scene on Saturdays.

Looks like christmas came early for some bank robber =P

But I’m more interested in how he/she did it. Must have been a magician or something.
