Teacher Auctions Off School Sports Equipment

A teacher had been arrested by the police for stealing school sports equipment and then putting it up for auction on the Internet.

The entire deal was discovered after another teacher spotted the items online.

The teacher arrested on suspicion of theft was 55-year-old Ryoji Kikuchi, a teacher of Japanese at Tokyo Metropolitan Adachi High School.

Between mid and late August, Kikuchi stole 22 items worth around 93,000 yen, including baseball gloves and stopwatches that had been stored in the office of a night-school student council.

The school reported the items missing in September. Another teacher spotted the items on an Internet auction site, and investigations found that Kikuchi had put them up for auction.

I guess the teacher shouldn’t have placed them on the online auctions. He should have sold them off in some dark alley or something. LOL
