After having a bad financial progress chart, GDH group has announced that they will be reducing the number of productions by Gonzo Studios. GONZO will be halving its annual production from 8 works per year to only 4.

The company is currently facing an expected deficit and their earnings forecast is in the red.
Poor DVD sales and other investment factors are attributed to this deficit. Therefore, since there’s no money to go around, the studio folks would have less job.

Looks like even the anime industry is getting hit hard by this global recession.

So they finally settled on the solution I came up with about a month ago that will allow them to stop looking like a B-Anime studio and to save money in the process. Better image, better business, better for everyone.
I agree, it’s been a while since I last saw a gonzo anime that I thought was real quality, cutting back will hopefully result in less dilute ideas/more awesome
thats such a shame, they have produced some fantastic anime like welcome to the nhk, Witchblade, full metal panic! but they also produced some ultra b grade shite like gantz and desert punk,
i would like to see them keep above the suface of bankruptsy
