Maki Gets Hitched And Leaves H&MC

Last Saturday was a very sad week for fans of the Japanese rock band HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR. It was the last time that Maki performed on stage with the rest of her band members.

Earlier back in July, she had already announced her wedding plans to DREAMS COME TRUE’s Masato Nakamura.

For the final concert at the Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo, HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR performed a total of 21 songs, including Maki’s last single, “Remember,” which went on sale last week.

The band’s five remaining men have said that they will remain active without Maki. The group also has a request album titled “BEEEEEEST” coming out on November 26.

I had been a big fan of H&MC ever since they started doing theme songs for Gundam and Bleach. Especially their last album ROCK PIT was so awesome that it just a really sad thing to see them part.

Hopefully H&MC will find another awesome vocalist that matches the standard of Maki, or maybe Maki will grow bored of being a housewife and come back as rocker mom.
