The latest 2nd Soundtrack from the Macross Frontier anime series has sold more than 102,000 copies after its release on Wednesday last week.
With its strong sales, It managed to climb to 2nd on the Oricon Charts.
The previous anime soundtrack which managed to sell more than 100,000 copies was The End of Evangelion soundtrack which was released more than 10 years ago in 1997.
As for the 1st soundtrack, it sold 72,000 copies in its first week.

This has gotta be one of the most successful series in the Macross franchise. I’m still only halfway through, gotta finish watching the series.
without a doubt the best anime series and OST of 2008.
