Evangelion: 2.0 Postponed Till Summer 2009
The official site for the Evangelion Rebuild Franchise has been updated and confirmed today that Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance [ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版:破] will be pushed back to early summer 2009.
Originally it was set for this coming winter but looks like the production team has decided to push it back by six months.

I wonder if the current economic crisis is the reason why they have to postpone it. Or maybe they are just having technical difficulties. I hope they don’t postpone it again.

Yeah Yuko Miyamura (Hinagiku/Angel Daisy in Wedding Peach, and Asuka in Evangelion) has that orange peel skin disease

maybe they are making the english version at the same time and releasing one and two in the cinema in england for me =D
Yumira’s been sick for a while, with Graves’ Disease. I would think that’s the cause most of the delay. You can’t very well have EVA with Asuka, can you?
Anno-sama does his anime by having the voice cast perform first, then animating around the result. This is the exact opposite of most anime production. But because of that, if the voice actors are not available, it can delay production. I doubt the delay is due to financial reasons, as EVA 1.0 was the top selling DVD in Japan for quite a while.
All I can say is 2.0 sure has heck better be good to keep us waiting this long!
