Moe Rice 「萌え米」 In Akihabara

Following news that the Moe Illustrated Rice Bags of JA-Ugo’s Akitakomachi Rice were selling like hotcakes, there is now a new line of moe rice being sold in Akihabara.
As you can see clearly printed on the rice bag: Moe Rice 「萌え米」 LOL
These tiny bags of 300grams of rice are being sold for like 525yen each.

This seriously feels like they are out to cheat otaku of their money.
At least the JA-Ugo’s Akitakomachi Rice were nicely illustrated. In comparison, this pack of rice is like someone just drew it over the weekend and said “Lets scam the dumb otaku out of their $_$.”
i would like to point out that when u think of otaku, u think of unhealthy people right? so I’m thinking maybe its a campaign to combat unhealthiness in the otaku community, or they really ARE out to cheat otaku .but isnt that what ALL anime and manga merch producing companies do? how many of us need neon genesis bread? or lucky star ….EVERYTHING? i ask u

@Dee: I think i can honestly say that if i or anyone else on this site had the kind of money for everything they would NEED everything from everything!
also i love rice like it was my own child so i would buy the entire stock if i could lol

Aww, how cute but useless. XD Maybe it’s a wordplay on the budding thing…though honestly I don’t see why anyone would want budding rice, hehe.
