Following our story of Overweight Monkeys, now the dolphins at Kinosaki Marine World are also having weight problems.
Zookeepers were wondering why the dolphins were having trouble making high jumps during shows, so they measured their weight and found all had gotten plumper.
Some of the dolphins had gotten up to 22 pounds heavier just during the summer.
The main reasons was because the mackerels on their menu had unknowingly gotten fattier this year. Which is why even though the menu was the same, the dolphins were consuming more calories than usual.
Now the dolphins have to undergo a diet too. LOL

Wow, I wonder if they could even jump at all. If they are too fat they should have trouble going under water, after all fat swims!
