Tokyo Shrine Blesses Laptops

Only in Japan would you ever see this. At the Kanda-Myojin Shinto shrine in Tokyo, visitors can bring their computers to be blessed for protection from problems like malware and BSoDs.

Interestingly, the temple also offer’s these microchip-like talismans:

The temple is actually located quite near Akihabara and apparently those that frequented Akiba also visited the temple for divine help with the tech in their life.

They should start another service offering blessings for figures, so that they don’t start leaning or the color don’t start fading.

    I hate my laptop now, for some reason it just overheats all the time, i would never take it anywhere to get it blessed!

    If they would condemn it to hell however i might go lol

    Too bad I didn’t know about that earlier this year! Maybe I can track this shrine down and get one of those charms. They’re pretty interesting looking, although it’d be cooler if they were made out of recycled computer bits.
