Tokyo Shrine Blesses Laptops
Only in Japan would you ever see this. At the Kanda-Myojin Shinto shrine in Tokyo, visitors can bring their computers to be blessed for protection from problems like malware and BSoDs.

Interestingly, the temple also offer’s these microchip-like talismans:

The temple is actually located quite near Akihabara and apparently those that frequented Akiba also visited the temple for divine help with the tech in their life.

I would like to have my laptop blessed there someday
I hate my laptop now, for some reason it just overheats all the time, i would never take it anywhere to get it blessed!
If they would condemn it to hell however i might go lol
I bet technicians visit this shrine often.
@ otaku dan: I wonder if they would bless smaller gadgets like my ipod touch.
@ KiTT: U need jigoku shouko for that. =P
@ Kenny: LOL maybe they will buy those tailisman for good computing skills
Too bad I didn’t know about that earlier this year! Maybe I can track this shrine down and get one of those charms. They’re pretty interesting looking, although it’d be cooler if they were made out of recycled computer bits.
lolwut. Blessing laptops? So strange.
