Lucky☆Star Mikoshi Matsuri
Washinomiya Shrine celebrated one of its festival yesterday eveing with a very special Lucky☆Star mikoshi.

The mikoshi 神輿 is actually a portable shrine and it was decorated with illustrations of the characters from the Lucky☆Star anime series.
Thousands of fans applied to carry the 130kg mikoshi on their shoulders and 120 lucky fans were selected to carry it on their shoulders and parade it around the shrine and shopping district.
And this parade managed to draw more than 50,000 visitors nationwide, an increase of 20,000 from the previous year.
