Increased Security Checks At Comiket

The preparation committe for the upcoming Comiket on the 15th August has made an announcement that they will be increasing security measures by implementing bag checks.

Anyone that is found with possession of dangerous items will have the items confiscated.

This reason for this decision is because there have been death threats made since July and the committee are afraid that something like the Deadly Stabbing In Akihabara might happen at Comiket.

Even without the security checks, Comiket waiting lines are already insanely long. I can’t imagine how the committe are going to make everything run smooth with all these bag checks.
