What if you have no money and really really wanted to buy a Nintendo Wii? Tried asking your parents and they said NO. Well, this “creative” young teenager staged his own kidnapping for money to buy a Nintendo Wii.

A young man known only by his surname of Yang was charged by police Shangqiu, China, for conspiring to fake his own abduction.

Yang worked with two men, Zhou and Pan, who pretended to be his kidnappers and extorted 10,000 yuan ($1,400) from the youth’s parents.

They were caught when withdrawing the cash from an ATM.

Yang admitted to his own kidnap, claiming he did it because his parents had refused to buy him a Nintendo Wii.

I guess even though he was smart enough to stage his own kidnapping, he wasn’t that smart when it comes to cashing out the ransom. LOL
