Wall Street Journal Reports on Lucky Star Fever

We all know that Washinomiya Shrine has gotten popular ever since it got connected with Lucky Star. Now its even appearing on The Wall Street Journal newspaper.

The news articles was amazed at how much visitors paid a trip to the shrine due to the anime series popularity.

And here’s what the editor has to say about Lucky Star fans:

Young men, some clad in miniskirts, stockings and pastel-colored wigs, were lining up for photos at the shrine’s vermilion gate.

Since the anime debuted last year, visitors have reportedly spent 42 million yen (about US$390,000) in Lucky Star food and goods, including 20,000 charms.
