Eel Enery Boosting Drink? Ewww

I absolutely adore Kabayaki-don (Unagi-don) whenever I have a chance to eat Japanese food. But I might just pass up on this canned drink called “Unagi Nobori,” or “Surging Eel”.

The drink is made from the extracts from the head and bones of eel and is said to contain five vitamins — A, B1, B2, D and E.

Many Japanese believe eating eel boosts stamina in hot weather. Therefore, this eel drink is “mainly for men who are exhausted by the summer’s heat,” said the company spokesperson.

I wonder how it would taste like? Really weird I guess.
