Sometimes you just can’t help wondering whether government officials are wisely spending taxpayers’ money.

For instance, the comedian turned Miyazaki governor Hideo Higashikokubaru was recently revealed to have used 59,640 yen from his entertainment expenses to send bouquets to three actors and celebrities.
He defended himself by saying:
I did it for the sake of public relations for the prefecture. But I won’t do it again.
In February last year, Higashikokubaru sent flowers to actor Lasa-R Ishii when he appeared in a drama at a theater in Tokyo; to a party held in Tokyo in May 2007 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of popular TV presenter Monta Mino’s career, and to a memorial service for the late architect Kisho Kurokawa in Tokyo in November last year.

Instead of letting him get off with just an apology, they should just deduct the amount from his paycheck.
So do you pay income tax? My collegue told me that I’d most probably be looking at about a few hundred dollars of tax next year.

I dont pay income tax yet fortunately but unfortunately i dont quite know how much they get so they might bleed me dry when i do lol. At least he was buying the bouquets for other people with the money though that doesnt really make up for the amount lol
Tax payers money barely ever does any good for anyone other than the politician who needs a new kitchen lol. Now that i think about it a couple courses in politics and maybe law, i could have been a politician (Rofls to self at the idea) and i could leech off society in a different way lol. Sorry to hear about the amount you might lose through the governments “wise money allocaltion” but somone out of the higher ups needs a new shoe buffer
