Man Buried Alive By His Manga
I know there are some folks out there that have tons and tons of manga in their room. Here’s a warning: don’t stack them too high or they might topple and crush you underneath.
In Miyagi prefecture, a 37 year old male has been found dead under a huge pile of manga in his own apartment.
Police suspect that the manga must have been stacked up to at least 2 meters tall and might have toppled during the recent earthquake. The man was suffocated under the hundred of volumes of manga.

I wonder which manga series killed him… Well at least he died with all his manga collection around him.
So does that mean it is even more dangerous to be working in a manga shop. Theres like tens of thousands of book inside.

Good way to die if you have to go early in life, though whichever manga killed him is gonna either get banned or have a huge increase in sales lol

Oh dear, that’s unfortunate news.
i reckon that it was in a bookcase and the bookcase fell on him but they just didnt notice the HUGE WOODEN STRUCTURE on top.
Ever had a manga hit your head?
No.. well I can tell you it hurts like hell.. so I can imagine him going out from a few hundred manga against his head and body.
Maybe the corners hit some pressure point?
o.o Not really dude, that’s all paper. There’s like a hundred pages in each manga and they basically said a hundred manga fell on him, so a hundred and a hundred more is 200, so 200 pounds or some shit of paper and covers.
Plus think logically, it said the manga fell on him because of an earth quake, maybe he fell because he hit his head on something THEN the manga fell on him, suffocating him in the end. I mean come on, think about it.
Maybe he was too busy reading the latest issue of his latest Manga that he FORGOT to dig himself out.
Lol I don’t think a manga store would stack them that high if they had shelf space. Media will probably say something about being an otaku is dangerous hahaha
OH! maybe he had a heartattack cos of the earthquake?? or maybe he hit his head on the way down and was unconcious
I believe this is fully possible. I’ve moved house before, and I tell ya, a 3 cubic feet of manga is essentially a dense block of solid material. Quite heavy. Getting hit in the head with just a cubic foot of manga will most likely put you in the hospital, let alone an entire 2-meter high avalanche.
