Transition To A Shakaijin

Today, I would be starting my new job and making my official transformation from a student (gakusei) to social person (shakaijin).

Transition To A Shakaijin

Since I’m not sure whether I can reveal the nature of my job, I can currently only tell you folks I’m working for Singapore Customs.

Of course, this would also mean a slight change for this site.

I would be making my daily updates in the evening than making postings in the day. But I promise the quality of my posts would still be awesome. O(≧∇≦)O

I’m actually looking forward to working after having a month of long break after my exams.

So how many of you are still a gakusei or are you already a shakaijin?

For those currently having a job, do you enjoy what you do everyday?

Digg!

-You’ll quickly notice the blessings of having no homework.
    -You get payed.
-After a while, you’ll begin to appreciate sleeping a whole lot more.

    :P

    Congratulations and good luck!

    Shakaijin here.

There are ups and downs in working life (mine is a desk job in a bank), but the constant lack of sleep and work stress is always quickly allayed by that big day every month when the payslip is handed out! I do miss my school days, when life was carefree and you didn’t need to worry about stuff like petrol prices, paying the rent etc but at least I can spend my own money on whatever I want now without getting any comments from the parents.

Good luck in your new job!

I’m still a high school gakusei but I work part time but I guess that different from a Shakaijin.
One of my biggest fear is that wouldn’t you get bored of what you do after a while?
Like in high school you take 8 different classes and we take for each day they alternate from A to B days.
And each class is approximately 80 minutes. But the sad thing is that I get bored within the hour and I start to daze off.
I plan on becoming a doctor and I really enjoy helping people but isn’t there a point where it just turns into a burden?
And you want to just stop working?
Oh well I still have like 15 years of studying to look forward to so yippie

Good luck in your work. I’m a 3D artist, a profession that I had decided while back in my high school. LOLz. I’m happy as long as there’s internets. \(^^)/

    Congrats!

I’m still just a high schooler wondering what to do with my life. I’d like to get a job so I could buy stuff with money I actually earned(instead of chinese new year money or money from parents), but right now my priority is to study and get into a good college.

@Nemo_N: I already appreciate sleeping to the extent of barely waking up, i think work might be hard on me

@ Nemo_N & j1m0ne: Yeah I think getting paid is the best! More $_$ to spend!. So I’m definitely looking forward to pay day.

@ Hei: Wow doctor, thats a noble job. On a side note, I love watching the drama “House”.

@ Jutlanders: Its always nice to be able to work in your area of interest.

@ Coco the Bean: Yeah its always important to do well in school, so it gets easier later in life.

@ Dee: I think an artist would suit you better than police officer. LOL

@ KiTT: Hmm now that you mentioned it, my boss does look abit like her. LOL

@ Caitlin: After the first day, its really fun, though I’m dead tired now.
