Destructible Clothing For Soul Calibur IV

Apart from having cool guest characters like Darth Vader and Yoda, Soul Calibur IV will also be introducing a very cool system of battle damage, whereby character’s will lose part of their clothing/armor as they take on damage.

Does that mean if I hit Darth Vader really really hard, his helmet will drop off? =P
Did they ever show Darth Vaders face in Star Wars?
Destructible clothes, huh? So, basically Ivy will look the same after receiving attacks?
Vader’s face was shown at the end of the last movie.

Loving the battle damage, very Ikki Tousen lol. This is totally unfair i might add how the hell are you supposed to win when the game has Darth Vader in it, his lightsabre is just gonna cleave through swords, not to mention faces. I reckon he is just in it to take off peoples clothes off for the enjoyment of it. Who needs a sword with an eyeball when you have a Lightsabre?

Clarification is needed.
Destructible clothes is a very wrong term. The actual subsystem is known as armor break. You are supposed to be able to break through opponents’ armor when a certain gauge fills up. Certainly, for the females, this means clothes since they were originally looking to do it for fanservice. But yeah, against any decent player, it is going to be difficult to be doing this on a regular basis. You also have three “layers” of armor to break before the opponent cannot block (or something, unclear details right now).
This is not a common phenomenon you are going to see in-game all the time unless you play against someone who blocks all the time and has no idea how to play.
Such a fanservice haha Well at least the for the girls. Its an interesting twist to the game….I guess I cant play with my friends little brother anymore hahaha
