Gundam Supports Olympics

As the Olympic approaches, even Gundam are coming forward to support Japan’s athletes. Specifically this 4 meter tall Gundam statue is holding a banner wishing good luck to reigning Olympic women’s marathon champion Mizuki Noguchi.
The banner wishes Noguchi success at the Beijing Olympics, where she will attempt to repeat her gold medal-winning performance at the Games in Athens four years ago.
The statue has been erected at the Takayanagi shopping center in Ise, and was provided by a local Ground Self-Defense Force base.

This sure is interesting, maybe Haruhi can support the gymnastic team and Sgt Keroro will support the swimming team.

They should be allowed to enter Gundams into the olympics, maybe then it would get a little interesting.
Gundam has become such an icon in Japan.. It’s amazing. ^^
