This year Japan will be sending the same duo as representatives in the upcoming “World Cosplay Summit 2008″.

The female duo Hasse, consists of Kikiwan and Naoki Shigure. They won at the qualifying round by cosplaying as characters from Nausicaa.

The duo, who took second place at last year’s World Cosplay Summit with costumes inspired by the blockbuster manga series “Death Note,” are determined to do better in the world championship this year. “We weren’t satisfied with our performance at the last summit, so we’ll try and do better this year.”

The World Cosplay Summit will take place in Nagoya in August.
