Poor Pigeons
Thirty six pigeons were suddenly found abandoned with their wings clipped on a riverbank in Saitama prefecture.
Police investigators said the tips of the left wings of the birds had been clipped so they couldn’t fly, but that there was no skeletal damage.
Police said there was evidence that the pigeons’ legs had been tagged, and there was a possibility that they had been used as carrier pigeons. They suspect that their owner had become unable to keep them and had clipped their wings to prevent them from returning.

Poor pigeons, now what can they do if they couldn’t fly. Just walk around waiting for people to feed them?
And how come in this day and age people are still using carrier pigeons?

Why does it seem like there’s an anime/manga-style picture for everything… I mean… pigeons.
Hey, at least they are alive, compared to the millions of culled pigeons out on the street.
Oh forgot to mention that wing clipping is temporary, it’s sort of like clipping your nails. It’ll grow back.
No idea why he didnt just give them to an animal charity place or somthing like that, though living in england its hard to find sympathy for pigeons coz they are such a dam nusiance… stealing my seeds and breads!!
But yea wing clipping wont leave em flightless forever and i dont know why the guy didnt use common sense to realise if they hadnt been found they would eventually fly back to him anyway after their wings grow back, silly man lol
