Japan Mangaka Association Award
The list of winners for the 37th Japan Mangaka Association Awards has been announced. The Grand Prize Winner are presented to Naoki Urasawa for his 20th Century Boys and 21st Century Boys and also to Hiroko Minami for Hina-chan no Nichijo. Each of them will receive a prize of 500,000 yen.

In addition, there is also an Excellence Awards. The award is given to Seika Nakayama for Alfheim no Kishi.
Special awards will also be given to Haruyuki Nakano for Nazo no Mangaka: Sakai Shichima Den and Manpu Hashizume for all of his works. The three authors will each get 200,000 yen.
The presentation ceremony will be held at Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka on the 13th June.

Hmm I never read 20th Century Boys / 21st Century Boys before, but the manga cover looks interesting, maybe I will check it out.


20th/21st Century Boys deserved to get that award for it’s story is jitsu ni omoshiroi XD XD
Btw, try to read Naoki’s other manga too, like Monsters or Pluto (-_-)d
