Man Tries Hard To Get In Jail

Sometimes a man has to break the law twice before he can get his wish of being thrown into jail. In Osaka, a man deliberately smashed a police guardhouse window with a chunk of concrete just to get arrested after he was let off for an earlier offense.

Initially he tried to get arrested by taking a cab from Central Osaka to Izumisano Police Station and then refused to pay the fare. Unfortunately, the cabbie refused to press charges against him and the man was let off.

So the man showed his “determination” by going directly to the guardhouse about 1.5 kilometers away from the police station and throwing the chunk of concrete.

Why was he so desperate to be arrested and locked up in prison?

“I want to go to prison because it’s the only place I can get a decent feed,” said Mori. “Of all the cop stations I know, Izumisano Police Station is the furthest away. I never dreamed the taxi driver would let me off for not paying,”

LOL and guess what?! This was not the first time he tried this trick. He was just recently released from jail only in March after having served eight months following a conviction for breaking a window in an Osaka police box. LOLOL

    This reminds me of the Great Depression, where people purposely threw themselves into jail for food, water and shelter.

    Oh wow! lol! I don’t know whether to feel sorry for him, or to laugh at him ^^;

    @ Corban: And to think this happened in a developed wealthy nation like Japan.

    @ Mizunaga: Somehow he seems more like a real bum to me, so I just don’t feel that sorry for him.

    Are the Japanese police really that useless? First they can’t deal with a bunch of school girls, and now they can’t keep this guy in jail, or arrest him just because someone says they don’t want to press charges?

    Nah, it’s just that Japan’s now under a XBOX HUEG food crisis. I wonder how they’ll survive there. I mean, the price for the food is already exorbitant long before the crisis! XD
