Surveillance Camera Footage Of Tulip Vandal

Lately in Japan, there has been a series of attacks on flowers, specifically tulips in the city of Maeashi. On Thursday, police released video footage of the tulip vandal in action, chopping down the flowers with his umbrellas.

Police have now launch a search for the suspect who was dressed in a suit and tie, and was captured swinging his umbrella violently to lop the tops off tulips in planters near the Gunma Prefectural Government headquarters in Maebashi late on April 18.

Here’s the footage from the surveillance camera:

Altogether, roughly 1,900 tulips were cut down in attacks in Maebashi on April 9, 14 and 19.
