Nintendo’s Profit Soars With DS & Wii
The folks at Nintendo are laughing all the way to the bank because their net profit has grown 47.7% to an all time high thanks to strong sales of DS and Wii.
Their net profit for this year is a heafty 257.34 billion yen for the fiscal year of March07 to April 08 which was impressive compared to the 174.29 billion yen a year back.
Looks like the strategy of Nintendo to attract the general gamers is paying off against rivals PS3 and XBOX360.
To date, a total of 24.45 million Wii units has been sold and 70.60 million units of the DS has been sold worldwide.

i dreamt that i dropped my DS into water last night, i telll ya, i freaked….
I still dont play much next/new gen console games but i LOVE no more heroes on wii, we have 2 wii’s at my house, around 30 games lol….mario kart twice, dont get me wrong, they both belong to my brothers
Given what’s happening with the industry, anime companies should give Nintendo a call.
If they ask really nicely, maybe Nintendo might be kind enough to give them tips to print money themselves, which would solve many of their problems.
