News has been leaked that Tsukihime is going to get a remake by Type-moon as one of their projects this year.

The news was originally planned to be announced in Type-moon Ace magazine and Techgian magazine, both scheduled to be on sale on the 21st April. But as usual, pictures of the announcement have been leaked onto 2ch.

I’ve never played the original visual novel game, but I’d love to check out this new remake when it comes out.

I like the anime. and I want to play the game to understand more about the story.
Is this for real?!?! Holy shit! And what anime?! There was no anime! Time for to remake it with nicer graphics, better OST, and make it into an anime! WOO HOO!
bj0rn… geez man everyone’s watched the anime except you… Remake will be nice but my only complaint is that the story will just be a repeat of the original for most of it. Maybe a new ending or two and that’s it. Well, at least I have Mahou to look forward to.
[...] night, I reported about the news leak on Tsukihime remake. Today, AkibaBlog managed to get hold of early copies of Techgian and Type-Moon ace magazines, so [...]
@Lsio: Yeah thats exactly what I think. I didn’t play the game because it wasn’t on sale anymore.
@bj0rN: ??? You NEVER seen the anime?! n00b .. LOL
@pendral: At least they will have more pretty artwork ^_^
I think it was a kind of joke made by people who are dissatisfied with the anime. I’m quite satisfied with it, though. I truly hope that the new Tsukihime will feature more than just cosmetics upgrade. another Kagetsu Tohya perhaps?
Oh cool! Right now I’m partway done with the original. It’ll be nice to see some new graphics and soundtrack.
THERE IS NO TSUKIHIME ANIME
@ Anonymous: Isn’t Tsukihime, Lunar Legend an adaptation from the visual novel tsukihime!?!

wow, that flew over your head twice over.
the fans of the game are denying the existence of the tsukihime anime because it’s atrocious, apparently. i neither played the game nor watched the animu, but i still knew that.
@ anon: Ah that finally cleared things up. I really didn’t know anything it. So thanks for teaching me something new.
well i apparently they will be including a satsuki route this time also <33
Meh the anime suxed, only really worth watching BEFORE playing the game, but very disappointing if you watch it after… A remake? Well, I guess they’ll add a route or two, but would be pretty boring to replay it all over again >.< BUT if they voiced all the characters, it would be pretty awesome. Still, I’d rather have Tsukihime 2 not Tsukihime remake.
If they remake Tsukihime with voice, I’ll be very, very happy. But I’ll be very upset if they use the voice actors from the anime though. The voices from Melty Blood were so much more suited to the characters, so I’m hoping that Type-Moon decide to use them instead. As for new routes, Satsuki’s route is rumored to finally be playable in this remake (only a rumor though, but i’m still crossing my fingers for it to be true.), and it is possible that characters like Len (or Ren, I don’t want to get into a debate about which to use) may have more of an involvement in the storylines, or possibly her own route. Considering all the new laws the japanese have placed on eroge and other forms of hentai it is possible that this remake will be all-ages, especially considering the two other Type-moon projects in production are both all-ages.
mmmmm i don’t think this will be an all-age game this will have h-scene like the last one have but the game with voice now that what i’m talking about.
Not gonna get too happy about a Sacchin route, might end up making me disappointed with its quality, that is assuming ill even get to play the a translated version of the remake. They probably didnt make a Tsukihime 2 because Tsukihime isnt as big as Fate/Stay Night (maybe cuz its a doujin) so they probably think that making a sequel wouldnt be a wise commercial choice, yet anyways (hopefully).
Oh god, if it is remade with voices I will so play it (once mirror moon retranslates it).
As for a satsuki route, “Isn’t it great Satchin?” Too bad the joke will be gone then though :’(.
If it is not included, that will be the biggest troll ever, and I will have to say… well-played Nasu, well-played.
