What is the chance of you finding an egg inside another egg? Apparently one in several million eggs, and one lucky housewive actually came across such an “egg-citing” discovery.

This egg within another egg was bought from a normal supermarket in Kyoto recently.
According to a spokeperson from the poultry research division at the Gifu Prefectural Livestock Research Institute:
“It seems to happen more when chickens get stressed”.
During the egg production process, it is not unheard of for a partially developed egg to flow back into the chicken’s ovarian duct and then become covered by another shell as the process continues on a new egg.

I wonder what they did to that egg? =P

Truly egg-citing! Have never heard of this happening before ^^;
I, too, wonder what they did with that extra egg.
egg-citing lol!!! I’ve never seen this before.
Ahh, the news. Such is the life. If I had an egg like that, I wouldn’t eat it. I’m sure it’s safe to eat, especially after being processed, but it’s just kind of…no thanks.
