According to this photo on AkibaBlog, the current record stands at 5.
Apparently these 5 Haruhi cosplayers were students from Obirin University 桜美林大å¦. Looked like they had good fun taking over the phone booth ^_^

What a coincidence….I can squeeze 5 HARUHI´S with both arms….I think I can break that record too.
5 Haruhis and 1 very thin Otaku who paid them a lot of money for the experience…
I would be more impressed if they could do the Haruhi dance inside the booth with 5 people
