Manga Connected With Okayama Railway Shoving Incident

Last week, a 18 year old teen suddenly pushed an innocent man onto the railway tracks, and the man was killed by the oncoming train.

Manga Connected With Okayama Railway Shoving Incident

The 18-year-old had indicated he deliberately pushed the worker:

“I thought that if I killed someone I could go to prison. I didn’t care who it was”.

Just yesterday, the police conducted a search in the teen’s house and discovered manga such as Death Note and Higurashi.

I guess the media are going to have another field day trying to connect the manga to the warped mind of the teen.

This is just like last year when the highschool boy slashed his classmate with a nata, resulting in Higurashi being taken off Teletama’s broadcast schedule.

Why is it that crazy people are always associated with otaku? ャダヽ(o`皿′o)ノ

its easier to blame the otaku lifestyle than looking for the real problem behind it all

This is getting more ridiculous than Michael Jackson sucking on kids dick every time there’s a crisis…. Are they getting paid for this? Seriously I bet it’s all just a evil plan to get rid of violent manga/anime.

    DUDE! i just ate! jeez……now i feel ill…

i already wrote an inteligent (lol) post to one of these types of stories on alafista about how the media blame thingsa to create moral panics…i canny be assed to go into it again but basically they need something to sell the story and to spread it out. say if they just said in the news paper “the boy pushed a man on the tracks to go to prison on purpose” then thats the end of it but if they say “may be connected to te killing” then they can spread out the story.

If a bunch of people with no connection whatsoever went on a killing spree at the same time and found the same pancake mix in all their house the news would say “pancake mix causes mass murder” and the media would direct to that and everyone would be against pancakes (i had pancakes this morning…..sorry)

@ Hei: LOL “Michael Jackson sucking on kids dick every time there’s a crisis” I heard that from a Chris Rock standup too.

    @ Dee: Haha pancakes FTW
