Saw this on the news last night – A crazy man went on a mad stabbing spree outside a shopping mall in Tsuchiura (Ibaraki Prefecture). The attack left one dead and seven other injured.

Police arrested the suspect, Masahiro Kanagawa, 24, who was said to be not in the right frame of mind and just “looking for anyone to kill”.

Japan always seemed to be a safe place to live in, but once in a while there are sad news stories like this occurring. Unfortunately, every society does have their own share of violent psychopaths, so all we can do is send our regards to the victims families.Â

Just on a side note: Thankfully, this season we do not have any anime series that is related to mad stabbings, otherwise we would be seeing another Nice Boat all over again.
