Talk about harsh punishment in schools - A poor little girl in a public elementary was punished to kowtow in front of her class just because she forgot to pass on a notebook to a classmate.

Now, the teacher has been punished and had to apologize for causing such emotional distress to the girl.

“I wanted to show her how sincere she should have been. I regret that my momentarily emotional actions hurt the little girl,” the teacher, whose name is being withheld, said.

School officials said on March 7 the teacher asked one of her pupils to pass on a kanji character notebook to a classmate who had left early that day so she could prepare for an imminent test on the Chinese characters. But three days later, the teacher learned the pupil she asked to help had not given the classmate her book.After the kanji test on March 10, the teacher ordered the girl to the front of the class and made her kowtow to the floor in apology for neglecting to complete the task she had been asked to do. Still with all the third graders watching, the teacher told the pupil who had not received the book that there was no need to forgive the girl who had failed to complete the task. There were about 10 pupils in the classroom at the time.

She’s such a nasty teacher. She should be made to kowtow in front of the whole school to apologise to the little girl as well.
