Tokyo Museum to Exhibit Studio Ghili Art
Tokyo’s Museum of Contemporary Art will be showcasing an Studio Ghibli exhibit entitled “Understanding the secrets of anime by Takahata and Miyazaki: Studio Ghibli Layout Exhibit”.

The exhibition will be held from July 26 to September 28 and will showcase more than 1,000 layout drawings. Many of the art being showcased are personally drawn by Miyazaki Hayao and Takahata Isao.
Layout drawings are an important part of animation, helping the production team determine the staging, setting and perspectives. They are usually rendered in pencil and they are rare since the public never get to see them.
