Last month, I talked about the brave Japanese high schoolgirl who caught the chikan that molested her on the train. Now this couple also brought the alleged molester to the police, but it was the couple that was arrested instead.
This is because they were running a scam to squeeze hush money out of male commuters by falsely accusing them of molestation.
Fumiyuki Maita, 24, a fourth-year student at Konan University, was arrested for concocting the scheme with his 31-year-old girlfriend to accuse guys of groping and then make them pay up big to avoid being reported to the cops.
So how did the police find out? Because they actually went ahead and tried filing charges against one of their salaryman victims. So during questioning, the police noticed that they told different stories, thus revealing the scam.Source: Mainichi JP
This 2 couples are just plain dumb. Its one thing to try and scam people by accusing them of molestation. But since they themselves know its fake, why did they go to the police?
strange about them telling different stories, usually if the story is to siilar the police see that as a collaborated lie between the persons involved but i guess one of the couple must have said something outlandishly different to what the other said like ” he was dressed like han solo” or somin similar to that effect =P
