Hiiragi Family Now Washimiya’s Registered Residents
Washimiya City is so proud of their fictional Lucky☆Star mascots that they have decided to register the Hiiragi family as official residents of the city.

According to Yomiuri news, all 6 members of the Hiiragi family are now registered as residents of Washimiya city.
In fact, Washimiya City will be cashing in on this by selling specially made family certificate of the family at 300 yen each starting from the 7th of April.
The news article also mentioned that apart from the Hiiragi family, Saitama prefecture also have Atom Boy and Crayon Shin-Chan as its official residents. For instance, Crayon Shin-Chan family are official residents of Kasukabe.
