Furoshiki Techniques

What if you had a huge watermelon as a present for your friend and you didn’t know what to wrap it in? Then you could try using furoshiki – a type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth frequently used to transport gifts, or other goods.

A friend of mine sent me an interesting picture with some basic furoshiki techniques. It seems pretty amazing how many combinations the Japanese can come up with just as simple piece of cloth.
