Japan Best-Selling Anime DVD in 2007

Oricon has released its compilation of the ranking of the top 20 best-selling animation DVDs for the year 2007.

Seems like Studio Ghilbbi is the big winner this year with Goro’s Miyazaki’s Tales from Earthsea [ゲド戦記] topping the charts with 242,000 copies of DVD sold.

Its pretty interesting to see that classic titles like Totoro and Laputa are still a favorite among Japanese.

    Those didn’t come out on DVD until just a few years ago, after all.

    surely laputa has been out on dvd for a long time. :S
