With the end of the year approaching, its time to look back at what we spent on this year and how much we have actually spent.

WhatJapanThinks found a nice survey on goo ランキング where Japanese men and women were surveyed on what they felt they spent too much cash on.

Between the 21st and 22nd of November 2007 1,101 members of the goo Research monitor group completed a private internet-based questionnaire. 49.3% were male, 6.2% in their teens, 15.4% in their twenties, 30.2% in their thirties, 27.1% in their forties, 11.0% in their fifties, and 10.3% aged sixty or older.

Summing up: I guess the results are pretty straightforward, men like to buy their toys and gadgets while women want to look pretty.

Interestingly women ranked “Basic food purchases” second on the list they think they have spend too much on. I’m guessing too much chocolates, ladies =P

So how about you people? Did you blow your budget buying that new spanking PS3 or just couldn’t resist buying another volume of that manga.

I guess I’m guilty of that since I’ve bought more figurines that I’d initially planned for.
