Not-so-Fresh Salads @ McDonalds Japan
McDonald’s Japan got itself embroiled in the food scandal storm after 4 outlets were found to have been falsifying the production dates on their salads.

According to McDonald’s Co. (Japan) Ltd., 4 of its franchise chain stores have admitted instructing their subordinates to replace labels showing the actual production dates and hours with false ones. The salads were served at outlets in Waseda in Shinjuku Ward, Shin-Otsuka and Hongo in Bunkyo Ward, and Minami-Otsuka in Toshima Ward.
The main reason behind this:
The boss of these franchise chains had decided for himself that it was too wasteful to be throwing away the salads after 12 hours, so he instructed staffs to just swap the labels so that they can continue to sell “fresh” salads to customers.
This is definitely gonna affect McDonalds business, especially since that huge Akafuku scandal that happened about a month back. I guess the Japanese aren’t so keen on quality control on their food like their electronic products.
Anyway, I don’t like to eat McDonalds. I prefer the burgers from Carl Jr. or Chicken from KFC.
But then I really gotta ask, who actually goes to McDonalds and orders a salad?! LOL

salad at mac? I rather eat the value meal. LOL
@zenical: I think even a happy meal would be better than a salad, plus you get a free toy
Remind me to dine in at better restaurants next time. This food scandals are really gonna hit Japan so hard even Adam will have trouble dodging them with his “manly bald head!”
That said, I wonder if all the Japan hype is fading soon.
