Osaka Plans to Host Anime Industry Fair

Osaka, Japan’s second-largest city, plans to host a festival promoting the Japanese popular culture content industry next year, in 2008.
Usually all the big events are held in Tokyo. For instance, the annual Tokyo International Anime Fair, Tokyo Game Show, International Tokyo Toy Show, Wonder Festival and Comiket.
The event is will be called Animix 2008 in Osaka. Osaka city plans to promotes itself through the new three-day event. The event organisers are planning to bring together anime companies with license holders such as toy, game, apparel, and food companies as well as manga publishers.
