1/8 Luca Truelywaath PVC
This is a very nice 1/8 scale PVC figure of Luca, one of the two main heroines of Ar Tonelico II, an RPG game by Gust/Banpresto.
I’ve never played Ar Tonelico before, but I’ve seen my friend playing it and the ingame battle system was pretty unique.
This figure is produced by MaxFactory and is scheduled to be released in March 2008. She will be retailing for 7,800 yen.
There seems to be a recent trend whereby the price of upcoming figures are all increasing. Could it be the yen is weakening or the manufacturers are out to suck more of our hard-earned money?
Event though I like the overall color scheme and pose, its one of those figures with the potential to lean. They inserted a pole at her back for extra support which really spoils the entire figure. I dislike any figure that requires support, especially if its so visible.

Ar Tonelico (first game) is great. I discovered it recently since a European version came out few months ago, and I am now in love with the fight system.
I felt sad there wasn’t any figures for this game (love Misha and Aurica in their Succubus and Shinobi outfits hehe)… so this is kind of comforting to see Luca being modelised, and by Max Factory!
This one will be added to my collection, definitely! (and can’t wait to have a playable version of this 2nd opus of Ar Tonelico, here in France since I can’t play the Asia version… T_T)
