Disguise Youself As A Vending Machine?
In a recent article on the NY Times, a Japanese female fashion designer was discussing her really “innovative” concept for her new clothing designs. A clothing that actually allows the wearer to disguise herself as a vending machine to evade stalkers!

Her new clothing design actually allows the wearer to simply lift a flap under the skirt to reveal a large sheet of cloth printed in bright red with a soft drink logo partly visible. By holding the sheet open and stepping to the side of the road, the wearer can elude pursuers — by disguising herself as a vending machine. (´-`).。oO(・・・・・・・・・)
She says that her main motivation is to provide people with a quick cover from criminals. In fact she argues that this is because Japanese favor camouflage and deception, reflecting a culture that abhors self-assertion, even in self-defense.
“It is just easier for Japanese to hide,†Ms. Tsukioka said. “Making a scene would be too embarrassing.†She said her vending machine disguise was inspired by a trick used by the ancient ninja, who cloaked themselves in black blankets at night.
You would think no one in the right mind would buy such an outfit. But in fact, she said, she has sold about 20 vending-machine skirts for $800 each, printing and sewing each by hand.

Anyway, I also think that she’s not innovative at all. She probably got her idea from vending machine red. And since we know how popular vending machine red is, the person trying to disguise herself might get too much unwanted attention instead. LOL
I wonder what would a real stalker be thinking if he/she saw the prey frantically trying to disguise herself into a vending machine. â”â”â”(・ェ・`lll)â”â”â”!!
