Recently I mentioned in one of my posting about the notorious pedophile principal and how he had images or movies of over 600 underage girls when police raided his home.
This phedophile principal actually lured his victims from one of this matchmaking cafe, in Sapporo’s Chuo-ku. The Cafe name is Ainori, which I when googled is most probably based off this popular Japanese reality matchmaking show that had the same name.
The way this cafe operates is truly wrong. Females are allowed to visit the cafe for free and enjoy free flow of food and drinks. This attracted alot of high school girls which I think are mostly naive and underaged.
O the other hand, Men can actually enter through a different sidedoor and they can sort of “preview” the females inside the cafe before deciding who to approach and chat up to. The cafe is not responsible for what happens later if the couple “hits it off” and decides to leave the cafe.

Despite knowing about such sleazy operations, the local authorities were powerless to stop such businesses. But luckily the boss of the cafe was arrested yesterday, not for this business, but for bashing an employee who dated one of his customers.
“There’s a rule that none of the employees go near customers and he broke it, so I wanted to fine him 300,000 yen in cash,” Inaguma told the police.
This is just plain weird that police can’t do anything about his sleazy cafe but I guess you can’t really escape the law after all. Since the cafe has received so much attention since the arrest of the pedophile principal, I guess police were just waiting for him to slip up and arrest him for some other punishable offenses.
It’s not the cafe, thats sleazy, it’s the people. =_= He could use some 20+ rule, though.
