Yoko Kumada 熊田曜子 is a gravure idol and singer. Her nicknames are Kumayo, Yokochan and Kumachan. She faced quite strong opposition from her mother who disapprove her of joining the entertainment industy.
During the final year of high school, Yoko had was a contestant to become Miss Magazine but had to pull out due to her mother’s objection. Despite going on to nursing school, Yoko did not give up her dream and entered a talent agency’s audition. Interestingly, she entered the contest while her mother was abroad and fortunately bad weather had delayed her mother’s flight home. LOL
