Higurashi no Naku Loro Ni Live Action Movie
A Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni live action movie, to be directed by Ataru Oikawa, has been confirmed to hit the theatres in Japan in 2008.
As for who is the director Ataru Oikawa, I have no idea at all. I have not seen any of his works or even heard his name =P
According to an article off famitsu, the cast would be as follows:
Maeda Gouki will be casted as Keiichi
Asuka Rin is casted as Mion
Matsuyama Airi is casted as Rena
Ono Erena is casted as Satoko Hojo
Aika is casted as Rika Furude
It would be interesting how they are going to cramp so much content into a single movie. Maybe they are gonna follow like what the Death-Note Movie did, separate it into multiples movies. At the same time, I’m also wondering how much would the producers push the explicit violent red-tape.
