July Issue of Newtype and Animage
July issue of Newtype and Animage is packed with review goodness of the upcoming anime series. In addtion, they also included some nice freebies as usual to please readers.
Newtype came with a huge Lucky Star poster, but I think its pretty lame. Took a quick snapshot of it with my camera.
They also included a Code Geass Sound Episode Special, I haven opened it yet, so I’m don’t really know whats inside.
Fans of Lucky star would definitely enjoy the feature on the official art of Lucky Star.
As for Animage, I think they have way better freebies this month compared to Newtype. Actually, its my personal opinion that Animage always gives out better freebies but Newtype has better content.
Firstly, they included a very nice clear Code Geass A4 folder.
There’s also a booklet that contains a feature on Hayate no Gotoku. Included in the booklet are articles like interview and this interesting feature on the various CD products for Hayte no Gotoku.
So thats my coverage of this month issue of Newtype and Animage. Keep a lookout for tomolo where I will post some very nice scans of Pinkyst. Those pinkyst are sure to start another buying craze for sure.

I dunno I think that posted is an accurate representation of how pointless and unfunny Lucky Star is =)
The Lucky Star stuff makes me want to get that issue. Hinano may not appreciate Lucky Star, but I think it’s very entertaining and it’s getting better with each episode. Although that poster may not be the best Lucky Star collectible, it does have all my favorite moe characters on it
Frankly speaking.. I hardly buy these 2 magazines since I find them quite erm… Not worthy to get. The Code Geass craze sort of died out very quickly (or rather overused) and Lucky Star goodies are alot better in other magazines.
@Hinano: LOL .. i partly agree with you on that, but the episodes seem to be improving, so I’m cutting them some slack
@bj0rn: I think that these 2 magazines offer rather good reading content. As for goodies, maybe magazines like megami are way better, but Newtype is still my No.1 choice for anime related news.
