Today I’m gonna recommend a manga series called Heaven’s Prison [天獄]. The title has a very interesting play on words since the kanji word for 国 and 獄 are pronounced the same.

Heaven’s prison is a very interesting manga that is produced by Hiroyuki Utatane [うたたね ひろゆき].

It has losta elements for a good manga:

1. Meido
2. Blood! (losta it)
3. Action
4. A cute protagonist

The story starts off with the Touko, a perfectly average school girl. She witnessed a car accident but somehow also sees a beautiful meido that is collecting blood at the scene of the accident. Of course normal people don’t just go around running in meido uniforms and Touko thought that the meido was just another cosplayer. However when she realized that she’s the only one that can see the meido ….

Overall, I’m very impressed by the details and standards of the drawings. The story also seems to progress rather fast.

Its a very nicely drawn manga but the rate of release is kinda slow. I also can’t seem to find it being translated into chinese manga. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend this manga.
